Tal-Pietà is a coastal town, and an old boathouse of notable historic interest (now in use as a restaurant) is located on the waterfront. Also of historic interest, and visible in several old prints, is the little chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, which dates from the seventeenth century, still in active use today. The parish church, however, goes back only to 1968. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima and is run by the Dominican Order.
In the area you will find many food stores, restaurants and coffee shops.
Also, the most attractive point, is the side walk next to the marina where you can enjoy the beautiful sea views, also admire boats and luxurious yachts.
This special apartment is in the centre and in front of the harbour, many amenities such as convenience stores, coffee shops, kebab shops are at a walking distance from the apartment block.
It is a lively neighbourhood and the promenade which is opposite is amazing for a walk with friends and family.
The bus stop is just opposite the building making travel very easy and efficient.
Valletta is only around 5 minutes by bus whilst St Julians is not more than 15 minutes making it a perfect base for anywhere you want to visit in Malta !

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ PAYING ATTENTION
As announced in the 2016 Budget, the Government has introduced an Environmental Contribution on stays at all types of accommodation as from June 20th, 2016. The main objective of this Environmental Contribution is to improve quality along the tourism value chain. In fact, all revenue generated from this initiative will be directed solely and exclusively to upgrade and embellish the local infrastructure in touristic areas around the Maltese Islands.The contribution is payable by all tourists who are 18 years or older irrespective of nationality (including locals).
It amounts to €0.50 per person for each night spent on the Maltese Islands at any type of accommodation such as hotels, guesthouses, hostels, resorts, apartments, farmhouses, villas, timeshare and host families, amongst others.
The contribution is capped at a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay.
A heads up that during the nice season ants is a common problem on the island. We do provide ants traps and repellent spray which normally work well, but expect to see some ants during your trip!

Strictly no partying or loud noises. Please do not make too much noise when entering and leaving the flat in the evening and after 11 pm, as to respect our neighbours.
No outsiders allowed in the apartment without written approval, in order not to contravene the police regulations.
The final cleaning fee is intended as check out general cleaning. Keep the place reasonably clean and tidy and leave the kitchen cleaned (no dirty dishes and garbage left over). If not, please note that additional costs may be charged.
The septic system is very effective, however it will clog up if improper material is flushed. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilet. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If that happened and clog the septic system damages may be charged.
Lost keys or getting locked out: Euro 100 per key set for replacement.
For stays above 30 days and above the Client will be responsible for paying bills on top of the agreed Rental fee, at the end of the stay based on Client's real consumption.
Check-in time is from 3pm to Midnight with self check-in.
Any early or late check in must be requested and approved 24h before arrival.

The apartment's situation is ideal. The view from the balcony over the marina is beautiful. The nearest bus stop is virtually at the door of the block. There are shops for food and drinks, pizzerias and good restaurants within walking distance. La Valletta is only 6 minutes away by bus. The bus terminal / main hub is there. Inside, 2 bedrooms are comfy, the other has narrow and low twin beds with very noisy mattresses, not very suitable for grown-ups. Very modern, specially the lights. Very convenient : dish-washer, wash-mach, tumble dryer and extra toilet. Amiss : a coffee-machine (to make at least one liter) or a filter-holder. The kitchen tap bolt needs tightening and the flexible hoses will need changing soon, their inside lining tends to squeeze. The dish-washer has not been installed properly : its door first scrapes on the near drawer and secondly tilts the whole thing when loaded and open. Cooker : one burner does not work. Hood : does not work at all. Is it on the mains ? So, altogether, I will give neither an 'excellent' assesment, nor a mere 'good' but a 'very good' for sure. We had a nice weekend in the flat, but theres room for improvement. Location is great, but it took a while for us to get rid of the chill in the flat. Greater was friendly, but came late and gave us the wrong code for the wifi. Later we found the welcome book - and the right code. When the electricity went, it would have been nice to have known the location of the fuse box instead of trying to get in contact with greater. Eventually he picked up the phone, and explained where the fusebox was - problem solved. Last I wish that you minimize the amount of messages you send us - I have counted 3 emails today and 20 mails prior to arrival.March 2022
