Loft near Duomo-Hosted by Sweetstay

Our exquisite loft apartment is situated in the heart of Florence, mere steps away from the Duomo, in a remarkable building constructed in the late 1800s. Please note, it is located on the third floor and does not have an elevator. The central train station (Santa Maria Novella) is a mere 10-minute walk away, and all of Florence's principal attractions, including Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Museum, and Ponte Vecchio, are less than 10 minutes away on foot.

Space
This beautiful loft, situated on the third floor of a historic building just a minute from the Duomo, spans two levels. It offers a bright and spacious living environment while retaining authentic Florentine aesthetics, featuring very high ceilings and exposed beams.

The lower level includes a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, Nespresso machine, kettle, and toaster. There is also a bedroom with two single beds that can be combined into a double-size bed, and a bathroom with a shower. The upper level hosts a second bedroom with a double-size bed and an additional bathroom with a shower.

Ideal for two couples, groups of four, or families, the loft is quiet and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay: air conditioning, high-speed WIFI internet, a flat-screen TV, a washing machine (hidden in a cabinet under the staircase), and a baby crib available upon request.

NOTES:
- One of the bathrooms has a small shower which may not be comfortable for taller individuals.
- As is common in many downtown buildings, our loft lacks an elevator and features very long ramps. It is also split over two levels, with a flight of stairs leading to the second bedroom, making it less suitable for those with mobility issues.

The flat is entirely at your disposal.
Check-in time is 3PM - 7PM
As we don't have a front desk please let us know a precise arrival time at least 24h before check in date.
Any late check in must be requested and approved 24h before arrival.

Early and Late Check-In has an extra cost:
From 12 noon to 3pm: €10 ( €15 on weekends)
From 7pm to 8pm: €25
From 8pm to 10pm: €35
From 10pm to MIDNIGHT: €45
No check-in after MIDNIGHT, except for agreement made previously.

Neighbourhood overview
Set in the most picturesque area of Florence, the loft is perfectly located within walking distance of the Duomo. It is housed on the third floor of a magnificent late 19th-century building. A 15-minute walk takes you to the central train station, and Florence’s main sights are all nearby. The neighborhood boasts the city's top shops, numerous restaurants, and bars. A supermarket is just 100 meters away, adding to the convenience. The street offers a delightful medieval atmosphere, enhancing the unique charm of your stay.

Getting around
Florence's city center is designated as a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), which restricts vehicle access. This apartment is located within the ZTL, so if you plan to drive or park here, you'll need to be mindful of road signs, CCTV, and access lights (red or green) to avoid fines. Guests driving to the apartment should pre-arrange a temporary access permit with a nearby private garage. Upon reaching the garage, specify that you need to enter the ZTL. The garage will register your license plate and notify the local police to authorize your access.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Tourist City Tax: A charge of €5.50 per person per night applies for up to 7 nights. This tax is free for children under 12 and is payable in cash upon arrival unless already covered with the accommodation fees.
Age Requirement: The primary guest must be over 21 years old and will sign a short-term agreement at check-in for insurance, tax, and legal reasons.
Identification: All guests must present a valid ID at check-in in compliance with Italian police regulations through a secure link. Failure to do so will result in denied entry.
Long-term Stays: By Italian law, stays over 30 nights require a tenancy agreement.
No Smoking
No Pets
Noise Restrictions: Strictly no parties or loud noises. Please be considerate of noise levels when entering and exiting the flat, especially after 11 PM.
Visitors: No external guests in the apartment without prior written approval, as per police regulations.
Cleaning Fee: Covers check-out cleaning only. Please maintain cleanliness, including kitchen clean-up (no leftover dirty dishes or garbage). Additional charges may apply for non-compliance.
Electricity Usage notice: Italian homes have a limited electricity capacity. Using multiple appliances simultaneously may trip the main switch. To reset the power, turn off the devices before switching the electricity back on. The main switch, a white box, will be pointed out to you upon arrival.

Plumbing: Only toilet paper should be flushed. Disposing of other items, especially feminine products, can cause blockages and may incur damage charges.

Heating Regulations: Per local laws in Florence (zone D), heating is permitted only from November 1 to April 15.

Air Conditioning: Building AC has operational limits, typically available from late September until the beginning of spring.

Lost Keys: A fee of €100 will be charged for each lost key set.

Utilities for Long Stays: For stays exceeding 30 days, the guest is responsible for all utility bills, calculated based on actual usage at the end of the stay.
