This lovely recently renovated fully independent one-bedroom apartment forms part of an old building which has been used as a palatial residence - today used as a block of apartments.
Designed with style, the apartment has been carefully restored and is decorated with art pieces by various local and foreign artists.
This charming home's design and conversion have been entrusted to a creative artist/designer.
Situated on the ground floor, the apartment features the building's old authentic patterned tiles and stone facade. The sun-drenched living room gives the house a sophisticated touch which blends harmoniously with the lofty and vintage feel of the apartment. The apartment is embellished with a small balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine.
The apartment has a kitchen-living-dining room and one double bedroom, one bathroom (with shower) next to the kitchen/living/dining area. On request, a baby cot and high chair may be provided.
The equipped kitchen features a built-in fridge-freezer, coffee machine, electric hob, toaster, electric kettle, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. The apartment has a TV, a DVD player, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and is fully air-conditioned (cooling/heating functions).
Clean linen and towels will be provided.

Neighborhood
This is one of the best neighbourhoods in Valletta. It is charming, photogenic and although only 3 mins away from Valletta's main square, has a village feel. The quaint narrow streets, old buildings and imposing churches make this neighbourhood magical.
Location
You're in a quaint street of Valletta and on foot you're:
- 2 mins away from the superb view of the Grand Harbour from St. Barbara's Bastions and the Lower Barrakka gardens;
- 3-4 mins away from the main shopping street and Valletta's main squares - Piazza Independenza and Piazza Regina;
- 5 mins away from Valletta's rocky beaches;
- 8 mins away from the unique St. John's Co-Cathedral, Renzo Piano's City Gate Project and open air theatre (old opera house site);
- 12 mins away from Malta's central bus terminus. From there buses go to every corner of the island;
- 12 mins away from the ferry to Sliema;
- 12 mins away from the sea-taxis to the Three cities.
Since you're in the historical centre, you are surrounded by restaurants, cafés, bars, wine bars, museums, theaters, historical palaces and monuments, churches, etc.
Walking around Valletta, which is one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world, you'll notice something interesting at every corner, be it the Maltese balconies, statues, niches, coat of arms, inscriptions, fountains, red British telephone boxes or vintage shop signs. Valletta (a UNESCO World Heritage City) is truly an open-air museum.
Malta boasts a diverse repertoire of exhibitions, festivals and feasts. Most of these events take place in Valletta (or La Valette,) a magnificent fortress city built by the Knights of Malta and named after the respected Grand Master of the Order of St. John, Jean Parisot de la Valette. Events taking place in Valletta (Citta' Umilissima) include the Valletta Baroque Festival, Notte Bianca, Malta Jazz Festival, Bridge Bar Jazz Sessions, Valletta International Visual Arts Festival, Valletta International Piano Festival, Malta Fireworks Festival, Malta Arts Festival, Science in the City, Middle Sea Race, various Wine Festivals, various 'festas' (honouring the parish patron saint) and Carnival. The atmosphere is also special during Christmas and Easter time.

Environmental Contribution
As announced in the 2016 Budget, the Government has introduced an Environmental Contribution on stays at all types of accommodation as from June 20th, 2016. The main objective of this Environmental Contribution is to improve quality along the tourism value chain. In fact, all revenue generated from this initiative will be directed solely and exclusively to upgrade and embellish the local infrastructure in touristic areas around the Maltese Islands.The contribution is payable by all tourists who are 18 years or older irrespective of nationality (including locals).
It amounts to €0.50 per person for each night spent on the Maltese Islands at any type of accommodation such as hotels, guesthouses, hostels, resorts, apartments, farmhouses, villas, timeshare and host families, amongst others.
The contribution is capped at a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay.
A heads up that during the nice season ants is a common problem on the island. We do provide ants traps and repellent spray which normally work well, but expect to see some ants during your trip!

Strictly no partying or loud noises. Please do not make too much noise when entering and leaving the flat in the evening and after 11 pm, as to respect our neighbours.
No outsiders allowed in the apartment without written approval, in order not to contravene the police regulations.
The final cleaning fee is intended as check out general cleaning. Keep the place reasonably clean and tidy and leave the kitchen cleaned (no dirty dishes and garbage left over). If not, please note that additional costs may be charged. 
The septic system is very effective, however it will clog up if improper material is flushed. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilet. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If that happened and clog the septic system damages may be charged.
Lost keys or getting locked out: Euro 100 per key set for replacement.
For stays above 30 days and above the Client will be responsible for paying bills on top of the agreed Rental fee, at the end of the stay based on Client's real consumption.
